Glory does recruit owner-operators on a selective basis, limiting its owner-operator core to about 20 in number.
Like our company driver corp, home time is more predictable if you live within a 200 mile radius of the Fayetteville, AR terminal.
You would have our sign, "Glory Transportation" on your door and our DOT #. You can run your own base plate or we'll supply one to be charged back to you on a weekly payout schedule.
Our shop would thoroughly inspect your equipment, prior to signing on; to make sure that it is safe for you as a driver, protects the public, and meets all federal and state standards of operation.
Owner-Operators are compensated at 72% of the linehaul and stops, and receive 100% of the fuel surcharge. O/O's are of course independent contractors, not employees, and do have a choice of the work they do.
If you have your own trailer, we strongly encourage you to have a 53 footer with air-ride; and the compensation split is 80% with a trailer. Having your own trailer does present some disadvantage in the drop-and-hook world.
